I applied online. I interviewed at Regions Financial
Interview
I had 1 interview with the hiring manager. Everything went well. Towards the end of the interview, the hiring manager told me she was in the process of reaching out to the recruiter to set up another interview with me. I was advised that I may have to reach out the recruiter to be sure the interview was set up. I reached out twice (once providing my availability and once as a follow-up) to the recruiter, and never got a response. Finally, about six weeks later, I was sent a rejection email. I never received a reply or any type of acknowledgement of my follow-up emails from anyone on the recruiting side/employer side, and never was granted a second interview as promised. While I understand, things are a bit shaky with the banking industry right now, common courtesy should still play a part in the recruiting process. For example, if a position has been cancelled (or is otherwise no longer available), let candidates know rather than sending a rejection email 6 weeks after the fact.
