I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Remote
Interview
My interview was postponed twice, the second time for over a week, because the recruiter was sick.
Four days before my interview was scheduled, I received an email saying that while the recruiter was OOO, they found a candidate to fill the position.
It was not a good experience to start, but being dismissed without even having the chance to interview after being selected to do so was just a terrible experience. I would have expected this from another company with less resources, but not from a company like Remote that works in the HR space and prides itself on being a key player in that industry.
I would have expected to have had another recruiter take over and to have been given a fair chance to showcase my skills, as the scheduling conflicts were in no way my fault.
The whole thing was terribly managed and probably the worst hiring process I’ve been through. It’s no way to treat any candidates, but especially not those who were referred by a current employee.
