Interview
I had phone calls first with the hiring manager, then with three others in the group, and finally withe the hiring manager. These were separate phone calls over a period of two weeks or so. We had discussions about the role, the company, and their needs.

Question 1
They didn't really grill me with interview questions. I believe my resume and online portfolio including many blog posts and videos of conference talks had already convinced them of my abilities and the discussions were more about whether the role was the right fit.
