I had one phone interview and then 3 video interviews. I was having a positive experience except toward the end, where I could tell the last person I talked to was not incredibly interested. When I emailed the TA Partner to ask for the emails of some managers so I could thank them, I got a very short and somewhat snippy response. After having 4 interviews and spending almost 4 hours of my time dedicated to their process, I waited over a week to hear about their decision. When they called to tell me I wasn't getting the job, there were no pleasantries at all, nothing nice about "thank you for all the time you dedicated to our process." It was just a quick, "they went with someone else". I've been doing talent acquisition for over a decade, and if someone has 4 interviews and they aren't selected, I take the time to have a nice conversation with them, thank them for their time, and give them a small amount of general feedback as to why we went in a different direction. They could definitely be a bit more courteous in communication with candidates, especially when they have 4 interviews.
