I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Revature (Oceanside, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
They will give you a phone call in order to set up a self recorded video interview You can re-record the video as many times as you like. The questions for the video interview are basic, like why did you become interested in programming, or where do you see yourself in the next five years? After I completed this they got back to me within a day to set up an online interview with an engineer for later in the same week. They give you a study guide for the technical interview that covers everything. Even though I clearly defined what I knew to the engineer before the interview they still asked me questions on things I told them I had no experience with. If you get a question wrong they will explain the answer right away, so you can come out of it learning something. If they accept you they will e-mail you a contract to sign.
My main complaint about the interview process with Revature is that neither of the people I spoke to listened to anything outside of answers to their questions. Given the long training period and time that I would have had to be contracted with Revature this selective hearing worried me.

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Revature in Aug 2020
Interview
Revature gives you a first call talking to get to know you and tell you about the company.
If you accept getting intertwined they will give you a guide to study for a couple of fo days and learn the material.
After that initial interview a couple of days later they will send you a status telling you if you passed or not.

Question 1
They will ask basics of Java, Java OOP, CSS, HTML, and other topics included in the study guide
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Revature (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2019
Interview
Group Interview, No real One-on-One interview. During the "interview" process they just described what their company did--that is to contract the people they hire out to companies. Overall I would say this is a bad experience especially if you have knowledge of what you are doing and the field you are trying to get in to. Great experience if you are just starting out and lack direction because the technology that you have knowledge of is pretty irrelevant as they train you on what you need and you get paid minimum wage during this training.

They asked if anyone had any prior knowledge of coding
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Revature in Jul 2019
Interview
After applying through their website, I very quickly received a phone call where an individual confirmed that I had a bachelors degree and that I was willing to relocate. Then, I was transfered to a recruiter that asked some basic questions about my previous programming experience and projects before providing more details about the program. At the end of this short call, we scheduled a technical interview for the following week. I was provided with a study guide that covered all the material that could be covered in the interview. The actual interview took place via video chat, and it only lasted about 10 minutes. The questions were very basic, with zero coding challenges.
