I applied online. I interviewed at Revature in Dec 2020
Interview
It's very likely a scam. They ask about your qualifications and then have you watch a 40-60 minute video they email you on your own. That and online reviews go over the fact that you are locked into a 2 year contract (once done with 12 weeks of training, but if you know no software you can learn that in 4 weeks (somehow) first). Breaking that contract would charge you $30,000. You'd be forced to relocate / will have no choice of where in the country you would work, and only make 40-50k your first year and 60-70k your second year. During training you get "local" minimum wage to where their facilities are. So regardless of where you live during remote training, you will only get $8/hour. That high of a contract penalty for such a low salary is dangerously stupid. You're better off paying for a proper bootcamp or self-training while working another job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are your qualifications / previous experience with software? (This is as technical as questions got. Are you willing to relocate was the only other interesting one.)
A 45-minutes process includes SQL and Python-related questions, followed by coding challenges, testing knowledge in database management, programming skills, problem-solving abilities and along with basic concepts of oops, thats it.
It was mostly based on dsa and simple coding questions. It was very smooth and interactive . One need to focus on coding fundamentals and aptitude questions .overall its an good experience.
