Revature showed up as a local offer for me, so I decided to apply. I received a text a few days later asking me to call Revature at an area code from the other side of the country. The recruiter must have sent me the text as they were leaving work for the day, because I ended up hearing a recorded message that Revature was closed when I called them just a few minutes later.
I tried again the next day and actually got connected with a recruiter. They were polite and asked me a few basic questions about where I graduated from and whether or not I know object oriented programming, and then said they would connect me with a technical recruiter. They placed me on hold for a few minutes and told me that all their recruiters were busy working with other people. I said that I would call back at a later time, and the recruiter I was talking to assured me that they would keep my information on file so I wouldn't need to answer their questions again.
I tried calling back the next day (a Friday), and ended up getting put on hold before I even got to speak with a general recruiter. I eventually gave up and decided to call back the week after. When I finally got in contact with another recruiter, they asked me the same questions again, and once again placed me on hold for a few minutes before telling me that all their technical recruiters were, again, busy with other people. This time around, they told me that they would call me back when a technical recruiter was ready. They seemed a little impatient, because they hung up on me before I was really sure if we were done talking or not. They never called back.
