Revature Software Developer interview questions

They call you via their recruiter. He asks if you're up for a system where you're trained for 3 months (you stay in company housing) making minimum wage, then sent abroad in the US for projects. Then you get a Skype interview with a programmer and he asks some of the usual questions (polymorphism etc) and then asks for a practical coding exercise. Then you go to HR and this is when things go sideways, you get sent a contract which includes ZERO protections for you, but stipulates a lot of restrictions and fines should you do anything wrong. Example: They don't find you a project for the duration of your 2 year contract? Then you go without work OR you pay them a fine of up to $20,000.00. There is NO way for them to breach the contract on their end, but multiple ways for you to breach it. Then when the lady talks to you she mentions how they will aggressively market your resume by making appear as if you have 5 years of project work experience, when you only have 3 months of training experience. This is flat out lying and if you get caught it will DESTROY your career. Avoid this place like the plague.

It started with a call from Revature themselves offering the position, giving information and a basic phone screening. Afterwards they set you up for a video interview and even send you a study guide. If you read the study guide its pretty easy. But that's all. They don't care about your history or what sort of things you've done or can do. The interviewer tried asking questions that weren't part of the guide, which makes you wonder what was the point of the guide. They focus mainly on OOP, Java, SQL. For someone who didn't primarily learn java and took a day to learn about it through their guide (which is honestly a list of links to wikipedia, w3schools, and a few other online sources), you'd be expected to get answers wrong. Now here's the worst part, as I started getting answers wrong, the interviewer seemed like he was getting annoyed. And finally, he cut the call. I could not reconnect back to the meeting. It was done. No good bye, no thank you for your time. Right dead smack in the middle of answering a question. Professionalism much ?
