      Software Developer Interview

      Mar 19, 2010
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Houston, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Feb 2010

      Interview

I took the screening tests. All I got was a rejection e-mail. It looked pretty automated to me. The math assessment is HARD! More than a few questions involved financial calculations, long division and algebra. Also, what's the point of asking someone on a test whether or not they stole from some previous company? It's like you have to consider the interpretation of the questions in the personality tests. So, either you lie and pick all the "right" answers, or you tell the truth and get nothing. I want no part in this.

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Houston, TX) in Jun 2025

      Interview

Heard from a recruitment member via email upon applying. Following a response confirming I wanted to continue with the application, I was given an "IQ" assessment to finish. Upon scoring well and within the time frame we were asked to complete a skills assessment to match us to our supposed "dream placement". After completing all of these assessments, the company did not reach out for more than a week after which they finally sent a short rejection email with no feedback or information. Reviews on other platforms support this type of response, seemingly typical behavior.

      Interview

I was asked to take an at home test as well as a personality test before the first remote interview. The first interview was remote, then I had an onsite interview in which they asked very basic questions.
