One initial phone call, 1 Teams interview, 1 face-to-face. All in the space of 1.5-2 weeks, offered job day after interview. Nothing technical, mainly motivational questions and checking understanding of the role
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Rise Technical Recruitment (Bristol, England) in May 2021
Interview
I interviewed with Rise approximately six months ago (April/May 2021). I had a short telephone call with my contact, followed by a longer telephone interview, at which point I was invited to a first-stage Zoom interview and advised of the process moving forward. All of the conversations I had were informal and I was provided with a digital information leaflet, which I read prior to interview. However, I received a rejection less than an hour after my interview, which made me feel very undervalued as a candidate. Although recruitment is admittedly cutthroat, it felt as though the company hadn't taken any time to consider my skillset. On top of this, I wasn't given any constructive feedback, I was just told 'there were lots of strong candidates'.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Where do you see yourself in five years time?
Who is your role model?
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Rise Technical Recruitment (Berlin) in Oct 2021
Interview
The interview process consisted of an informal chat where the role and company were described, my experience discussed and whether I wished to continue with the application.
The information was clearly communicated and my details were forwarded to the prospective employer.
Soon after I was interviewed by staff at the new company. This consisted of a total of six interviews.
At every step of the way Katherine kept me up to date on progress, requirements and preparations for further interviews on at least a daily basis.
This was the most informative, well guided and smoothest recruitment process I have experienced.
As an I.T. professional with more than 25 years of experience I can say truthfully that this is the most support I have ever seen from a recruitment consultant, and should I ever need their services again, I would definitely choose the same company, and hopefully the same recruiter.
