      Cashier Interview

      Jun 10, 2011
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Rite Aid in May 2011

      Interview

I picked up an application in the store and returned it in the same week. About 2-3 days later, I received a call from the assistant manager to come pick up a code to complete an online survey/personality test. I was first considered non-competitive from the results of the survey. After 2 weeks from receiving the news, I was told that manager was able to change my status since they needed people ASAP. The interview itself was rather short, possibly because I gave a good impression to the assistant manager who gave me the code to the online survey. Both the manager and the assistant manager were in the room during the interview process, but it may not happen in your case. The drug test is based on random selection, so beware that you may be chosen to undertake it. My advice is to be yourself, and if try to think of potential questions that you can practice in front of a mirror over and over. Also, dress business casual for the interview and groom yourself. A good first impression is extremely important, especially when you are meeting the manager for the first time.

      Interview

They were relatively friendly and polite. They had multiple schedules and a little bit understaffed so not all were available. Still a good starter job and professional interview w a manager.
