Very bad overall process. I don't understand the purpose of an internship after attending an interview with Rivian. If they just need experienced people they should mention it properly in the job description or they can hire people for full time and If you didn't crake one position successfully then the next position which you were supposed to get an interview will be stopped in between without any reason.
