The interview process was overall quick. In total just over a month. Interview screen, hiring manager, 4 person panel, 2 person panel. In total 8 people. Everything seemed great and normal. I was in the final stage waiting to hear back. I had amazing interviews with basically everyone, I was told multiple times how much the team loved me and my experience.
1 week after my final panel interview I get an email from their senior hiring manager:
Hi [blank],
I hope you had a great weekend. Let me know if you have a few minutes to chat tomorrow morning! I'm free between 10-12:30PM ET.
Thanks,

The usage of exclamation, scheduling a time to talk all very positive signs. I was called the next morning only to be told I was not the candidate they were offering the job to. This was not an ok way to deliver this news. This very much felt like a bait and switch. I did give this feedback to Ro directly. I hope this improves their process so no candidates have to go through what I just went through. Not getting the job is part of interviewing, however, there are better ways to deliver that news, like an email.
Do better Ro.
