I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Robinhood (Menlo Park, CA) in Jan 2024
Interview
4 rounds and got the offer, but it didn’t matter because Robinhood went back on their promises of visa sponsorship after offer was signed despite them being VERY confident that they sponsor during the interview process. The immigration lady is beyond rude and said to stop asking her questions despite them lying about visa sponsorship. Recruiter gaslighted Canadian interns by telling them that they should have been more upfront about sponsorship. Housing stipend amount is also not listed in the offer, suspect that might try to get out of that too.
Shady company with horrible ethics, if they treat you like this during the offer stage then it will only get worse once you are in.
Online Assessment, followed by recruiter call, followed by a 1.5 hr technical and behavioral interview. 2 weeks between OA and call schedule. Call had to be scheduled 3 weeks out.
First step is completing the online assessment, then there's a quick screening with HR. If selected, the last round is a behavioural interview with a team manager and a technical interview consisting of a few medium difficulty coding problems.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had a disagreement with a team member and how you handled it.
Online assessment into phone screen. Had technical issues scheduling the interview. Lack of response for rescheduling interviews. Limited interview spots, next interview was over a month later. Seems like they add too many people to their pipeline at a time.
