I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Roblox in Sep 2016
Interview
I applied online and got the response by evening asking to schedule a phone interview.
As usual phone interview was pretty straightforward and just a few behavioral questions. The recruiter said the opening is still not confirmed from the hiring department so I may have to wait for a week or so as still there is a lot of time for Jan intake.
After a week, I followed up and then recruiter said they are going with another candidate. When I requested for feedback the recruiter said that the manager wanted one with good VR experience.
Overall the recruiter was very helpful and fast in her actions.

Interview
There were 3 main rounds: games, product sense, and then back to back technical case and behavioral interviews. The last round was the most ambiguous in terms of expectations, but you can partner with other candidates to practice mock interviews together.

How would you build a recommendation system from scratch?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Roblox (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2025
Interview
Very interesting OA, where you were given a few strategy-based games to complete. Although fun, it took around 1 hour and 30 minutes, longer than most other OAs. I think that it was easier and a lot more engaging than traditional LeetCode type questions.
