      IT Trainer Interview

      Oct 1, 2022
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Roche

      Interview

There wasn’t a real interview. I applied and was given a request to do a one way interview where you record yourself answering questions and honestly, it was the biggest waste of time and a bunch of BS. I asked to do a two way interview or phone call, because the whole point of an interview is to have an active conversation on both sides. I, as a candidate, am interviewing the company as much as they’re interviewing me. Recording yourself is awkward and a very BS way to screen candidates. It’s a good way to discriminate based on appearance, and who knows what the video will be used for when you’re done. In the time the recruiter took to make “necessary accommodations” to this one way interview (increasing the time limit, what a joke), we could have had an actual conversation to determine if this was worth either of our times. The interview process was a joke at best and so are one way interviews. Please do better, Roche. You have all this money and the crappiest system for recruiting. Thanks but no thanks.
