There was an initial screening interview with a recruiter that was just to give more details about the position and make sure I would be able to work in Rogers, AR without relocation assistance. In this interview the recruiter also told me about the salary and the coding assessment. There was then a coding assessment where I was given 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete 4 coding questions, one of which was worded incorrectly and the others were worded poorly. After that, I was invited to an event in Rogers, AR to learn more about the program and meet with the other people who applied for the position. It said in the email that interviews would be conducted at this event, but it was just an assessment of our behavior as we solved a problem in a group. I felt that I did very well during the assessment, despite most of my team members not listening to any ideas other than their own. I figured this would be picked up on but apparently not. There were two different group activities and they fed us lunch. They also discussed in more detail the position. I had to drive 7 hours round trip to make it to this interview and leave my house at 6 am. I wasn't too happy that I wasn't reimbursed for driving this far, but what really made me mad was that we were told we would hear back by Monday at the latest and I was in a group chat with the people on my team and most of them mentioned that they set up their interview and I never got an email saying anything. It was Wednesday when I finally reached out to a recruiter and he mentioned that final interview requests had already been sent out (meaning I didn't make the cut, and nobody ever intended to let me know that or even why I didn't make it) I think it might have been because I lived 3 and a half hours away and everyone else I met their lived close to the work location already. I drove 7 hours to attend this event and completed a coding assessment and they didn't even have the decency to let me know I wasn't selected or why. I had a horrible experience and I can't help but feel like if they treated me this poorly, they will probably treat their employees poorly as well.
