Rover.com Senior Software Engineer interview questions

Had an initial phone screen with HR, and then a technical screen with an engineer. The technical screen involved doing some programming problems, with the caveat that you were not allowed to use any online resources, including language references. This seems like a great way to filter out candidates who don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of the language functions they could be interacting with, which is potentially hundreds of possible functions. If that's what they want, then the process works, at least.

An absolute joke of a company and interview process. The coding assignment instructions say to answer 1 out of the 4 possible discussion questions. I did so, I answered one, because that was what the instructions, PROVIDED BY ROVER, said to do. A week after submitting the project, I was informed that they would not be moving forward with me. The reason? Because I only answered 1 out of the 4 discussion questions. I'd be angry if I didn't feel so sorry for anyone that has to work there.
