It started with a phone screening and an interview with 5 people. There was a person from HR and 4 engineers from different backgrounds and departments. The engineers all had varying levels of experience with systems engineering and controls. Though, a lot of what they were looking for was not experience with systems engineering technologies like PLCs or HMIs but a strong desire to learn. Being familiar with the technologies helps but really showing the career-oriented willingness to step into the position is what they are looking for. They want to see what you are looking for from them to improve upon yourself.
