I applied online. I interviewed at Royal Ambulance (San Leandro, CA)
Interview
After submitting all of the certs/ documents, I went to HQ and spoke to their HR rep and their interviewer. Everyone was very friendly, offered me water while I waited for the interview. The interview was one on one with the interview, who was very friendly and asked questions more about employee scenarios than EMS scenarios, i.e. about multi-tasking ability. I got a call the next day from HR.

Quick interview and a lift test. Recruiter was easy to reach out to and heard back within a couple of hours. Lift test was not too difficult as well. Asked usual interview questions like which Royal quality are you.

Interview
Interview process was great. Friendly environment and very promising company. I was offered a job and told to complete the onboarding process before starting academy. After the interview I had questions about the process which were answered through email only after 4 to 5 days. After I had completed the onboarding process which included getting a titers test, having vaccines administered relocating to San Jose and paying out of pocket $90 for a hazmat course (which was promised to be paid for by the company) Royal ambulance went back on their offer and left me stranded in San Jose without the job they promised.
