Two-day process; on the first day, I had a dinner with a few faculty members in the department I was applying to. On the next day, I had a research presentation (1 and half hours) and several research meetings with each of other faculty members and PhD students.

I had two interviews for Rutgers university, phone call and on campus and not friendly department at all. Long interview and they did not know what they wanted. I never saw something like this in the academic setting

Interview
It was cordial and collegial. They had a sense of honesty and investment that I had not experienced any where else. Additionally, there was a keen sense of professionalism, from the moment I was invited to do the interview until the very end. It was definitely exciting and I couldn’t be happier going through the process.
Interview Process was moderate. Importance was given on depth of knowledge about the subject and future aims. The interview process mainly consists of a telephonic interview, followed by a power point presentation of the major focus area, followed by specific questions on career goals and aims
