There were 7 interviews in total - 1 HR, 4 manager and 2 director interviews. All the interviews were conducted over the phone. Everyone seemed very excited about their roles and teams. The interview questions were quite standard - a few behavioural ones, the typical 'tell me about yourself', future professional goals of the candidate, etc.
But the HR contact (internal recruiter) caused a lot of unnecessary frustration during the process. I received two automated rejection emails during the hiring process. Even though I was still being considered for the position, HR didn't make me aware of it. HR did not follow up with me once during the hiring process. I was finally contacted with a verbal offer and the expectation was for me to resign from my current position without having a written offer. She was aware that I had received a rejection a week earlier but still did not follow up with me to let me know that it was a system error. I received a written offer five days later after continually following up and she left me no time to negotiate it. My only option was to accept/reject on the spot. Because of her slowness, I missed 1 week of training when I joined. And I was basically threatened that I either accept their start date now or there is no offer.
