I had 3 rounds of interviews:
1. Recruiter screening / phone call
2. Technical Interview about resume and previous projects
3. Another technical interview but on general concepts
The technical interviews were more conceptual and gauging my overall knowledge but nothing I had to actually code

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at SHI International in Jul 2023
Interview
This role is focused on LLM, not traditional machine learning. First is meeting with someone on the AL/ML team who was hired two weeks ago. Then, meeting with someone on the ML team,. Then, a presentation with them. Finally meeting with the director who was hired one month ago. Four rounds total. My 60-min interview with the ML team member was rushed to 45 minutes because he said he has another meeting to go to. He was not prepared to ask any questions coming into the interview. I'm convinced he made up his mind before interviewing me. I asked the director what will the day-to-day job like. He said: "I don't know, I'm new here."
