I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SLB in Mar 2012
Interview
The interview was interesting, they fly you down to one of their busy centers of operation for two days. The first is filled with company presentations and group presentations the interviewees put together on various aspects of the company. They do a few team building exercises as well to see how you work with people and such, and keep you up late..till around 2am in my case. They seemed pretty upfront about it being their way of showing you the low sleep lifestyle. You're up early the next morning for site tours, and then back again for exit interviews which are 1 on 1. They give you a chance to choose what segment you would like to be a part of, and the interview becomes a test of your knowledge of that segment and why you think you would fit. Then it's out for dinner and drinks, followed by an early plane ride home. Don't miss the flight!

It was an on campus hiring. First they shortlisted based on CV. Then second round was group discussion where we were given abstract topics like "Half filled glass of water" and were asked to discuss. This was also an eliminatory round. The final round was more of a HR round, they asked behavioural questions, few puzzles (very easy) and general knowledge questions
