      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at SLB

      Interview

I submitted an application to the online site for three different petro technical positions. I received an email a month later scheduling a phone interview. The questions were mainly behavioral. A month passed again without any updates until I received another email asking me to interview at the WesternGeco offices. They were hiring for an office position and also a data analysis position that would be located on board one of their vessels. They asked that I prepare a presentation on my current research or studies. Besides the technical presentation, no technical questions were asked. They really just wanted to know how I would handle obstacles that would present themselves if I were on the vessel at sea.

      Question 1

Are you okay with doing repetitive tasks? How would you handle yourself on a vessel for months at a time?
