I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salem Media Group (Richmond, VA) in Feb 2016
Interview
This was for a sales position at Salem Web Network.
I had several phone and Skype interviews with key personnel, followed by an in-person meeting with the head of the department and a few sales people on the team. This gave me a chance to meet a range of employees on my team or a similar team, get familiar with the expected company culture, and ask all my questions to the most minute detail.
Interviews were pleasant and friendly and felt much more like a conversational hangout than a formal interview. Focus seems to be on personality and cultural fit as long as you make clear that you know what you're doing. Not at all intimidating - best interview process I've ever had.
"Hardest" one was the initial HR phone interview - that's where all the typical questions were asked and it took about a half hour. As long as you know your job you'll be fine.
The whole process took about 1.5 months.

Question 1
The typical. The harder ones were these:
"Tell me about yourself"
"Describe a situation where you didn't do well"
"What are your weaknesses"
"Why do you want to leave your current employer"
"Why Salem"
"Career trajectory"
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Salem Media Group (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
The interview process I have to say went real smooth. Salem knew prior to the interview that I had minimal knowledge with Data Analytics, but were impressed with my sales experience. They all agreed I could be taught and pick up pieces here and there to sale. All three interviews were held by pleasant people!

Do you think you can sell our services if you were trained?
Mock Role play with all three interviewers!
I applied online. I interviewed at Salem Media Group (Orange, CA)
Interview
Overall fairly easy, had about 3 interviews, one over the phone, one in person with the GM and sales rep, and another over the phone with the VP in Glendale. Didn't hear back - no follow up offer or candidate rejection email.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell us about what you did at previous employer, on a scale of 1-10 how interested are you in this position(end of interview)
3 virtual Interviews followed by 1 in person interview. It was quite in depth, and made to screen serious candidates, I am glad I made it through the interview process.
