I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2017
Interview
Very thorough interview process. Had five separate interviews. The questions were thought provoking and several behavioral questions were asked. The recruiting team is very organized and leads you step by step through the process.
I would suggest reading the book Behind the Cloud as it gives you a clear understanding as to what Salesforce is looking for as far as "fit" and culture. Many questions are asked that directly pertain to this.

Question 1
Explain to me how your background matches with how you understand the job description
Standard process of phone screen with recruiter asking qualifying questions and then explaining the process moving forward. Moved on to video interview with hiring manager going into more detail on background and asking technical questions to understand knowledge and methodologies. Interviews went well and hiring manager said recruiter would be in touch. I reached out after a few days to follow up but received no response. I understand if they found another candidate, but have the professionalism to let candidates know they're moving on with others.
