      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at ScottishPower (Cumbernauld, Scotland) in Mar 2014

      Interview

The deadline of the online application was in the end of November. After that, I had taken verbal, numerical and logical reasoning tests. Then, I had to complete the SJT test. In early January, I had a telephone interview. This interview was comptencey based and it lasted about 25 minutes. There was two competency based questions and their competencies were about teamwork and tight deadline. My assessment day was hold in Mid March. It had 6 parts. The first one was a 75 minutes written excercise which was a report about a vacation allowance in the benefit package. And I had to suggest the adoption or not of this allowance to my department, the reasons of my suggestion, the challenges that will be created and any suggestion on solving these challenges. The second part was to make a presentation on the previous topic. I had 15 minutes to prepare my presentation which had to last 5 minutes and then 15 minutes to reply to any questions. I made my pressentation in front of 2 people who are working in different parts of the company. After that. it was time for my competency based and technical interview. There were also two people from Networks and Renewables departments. Firstly, I had to talk a little about my self. Then, there was 4 comptency based questions on teamwork, flexibility, creativity and hadling a failure. Next, I had to reply in some technical questions which were't so hard on electrical networks and generation. After that, it was for a lunch and then they presented to us the graduate scheme. The final part was a group excercise. We had to talk about a bussiness plan and it lasted for an hour. And I am currently waiting for their final decision. I probably will know by the end of April.

      Interview

Simple application, followed by online tests, classic numerical reasoning mainly. Then onto a video interview which was 2 minutes per answer and recorded, so just talking to the screen. Overall, very standard.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at ScottishPower (Hoylake, England) in Dec 2015

      Interview

-Online application similar to others for this type of role, CV, covering letter and some basic questions about what you could bring to the role. -Telephone Interview - relatively short (15 mins) telephone interview, mainly competency questions and nothing difficult. -Assessment centre - 3 main parts (interview, analytical exercise and presentation, group exercise). Interview mainly focussed on why Scottish Power, what you could bring to role and competency questions. Analytical exercise on a proposed benefits scheme was simple but the strict time limit added pressure, presented results from the analytical exercise to a small group and answered questions based on the presentation. Group exercise was a discussion with each candidate taking up a role given to them, had to discuss the potential of investing in new technologies. -FInal interview - again questions on what you know about Scottish Power and why you want to work there. Technical questions based mainly on maintenance practices within power stations. Overall the whole experience was good, everyone was nice and helpful however I would say that you should make sure you understand the role you are applying for and where you will be based should you be given an offer, as I feel it wasn't made clear to candidates from the beginning.
