I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ScribeAmerica in Feb 2017
Interview
They'll send you an email if they like your resume. Afterward, you schedule the interview and go. Interview is very lax, but dress appropriately. They will ask you what it means to be a scribe and they will ask you about various situations (that I list in the next section). I feel as if these questions are looking for confidence (and making sure you aren't crazy), so answer with confidence!
Also, they send you a list of vocabulary before the interview. They will quiz you on that list towards the end of the interview. I felt so good about the first part of the interview, but I didn't review any of the list and failed every question (but I was a super confident failure)! I feel like these questions are for seeing how you handle adversity/conflict. Just my take. Don't be perturbed and don't show weakness!
Later, they will email if you got the job or not. They will also ask you to take the test again (this time written). No multiple choice. Fill in the blank for every question (plus a few that you won't have ever seen before...).
Good luck and good for you for preparing by using this website!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What does it mean to be a scribe?
Describe a memorable time you worked in a group setting.
Describe a time you had to handle conflict.
ScribeAmerica provided excellent training, supportive leadership, and invaluable exposure to clinical medicine. The role sharpened my documentation skills, improved my clinical knowledge, and connected me with inspiring physicians in diverse specialties.
The interview process included an intuitive pre-recorded video interview as part of the initial application. Responses have multiple submission attempts, and you could watch your video back before submitting. I heard back from a hiring ambassador within 2 days of submitting to confirm my work availability and ability to commute to the proposed site. I received an offer within 1 week of applying. Response time may depend on the site and current needs. After accepting the offer, you will undergo additional steps depending on your site, including but not limited to a background check, e-consent forms, the credentialing process (paperwork, medical testing (UDS + QFT and mask fit), medical terminology exam, onboarding call, ScribeU courses, EHR training, bridge/floor training). Onboarding steps are very clear to follow, prepare you well for the role, and are paid.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
What are your long-term career goals, and how will working with ScribeAmerica help you achieve them?
One behavioral interview with a lead scribe who asked about my experiences working with patients and doctors. Although I had none, they still accepted me because of my previous experience in the STEM field and interest to go into medicine.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at ScribeAmerica (New York, NY) in May 2026
Interview
I was originally scheduled for a live video interview which they canceled, they then sent me an email asking if I could travel to one place, I said no, then they asked me if I could travel to a different place, and I said yes. All in all, too easy.
