      Recruiter Interview

I applied online. I interviewed at Seamless

      Interview

I met with an HRBP rather than a recruiter to discuss the open position for recruitment, which was odd considering this HRBP had an obvious gap in their interviewing skills. They did not have any intro pitch/information about the company and the direction in which the company is moving. They asked zero relevant questions around recruitment experience, in fact it was obvious they did not know what skills an experienced recruiter should have. They weren't able to answer one single question at the end of the interview, not one question about the company, process, or teams. It was truly a horrible first impression of this company, considering the atrocious Glassdoor reviews they have it is obvious that they are not trying to change the trajectory of their reputation what-so-ever. Which is highly concerning. I don't believe I have yet to receive feedback; however, I will be withdrawing myself from candidacy if I do get asked to move forward. This role would be a huge step back in my current career path. Advice to leadership: Focus on first impressions and candidate experience, use experienced interviewers when recruiting as folks already will have hesitations based off your Glassdoor reviews. Ensure the first point of contact actually knows and understands what the companies goals are and what is wanting to achieve on its roadmap. Also ensure they have the basic business acumen to have a discussion about the business goals of the company. (Which was lacking during my interview)
