Interview
The hiring process took about 3 weeks. Human Resources first reached out to me for an informal phone interview asking me why I was interested in the job and a little history about my experience. I then went in for a group interview with about 6 other people and they asked basic situational questions about working with youth, what some of the skills you have and how you seperate work and personal life. At the end of the interview they give a list of openings within the agency and have you write your top three so you would have more chances of being given an opportunity. I was scheduled for a second interview the same day. The second interview was the supervisor of the specific program and was also very situation and more focused on the position. In addition to the interview, I also met some client to see how my interactions with them were like and a glimpse into what my work day would look like. I got the job a week later.

Interview
phone interview then non competitive group interview then individual interview. Individual interview seemed to be just if you are a good personality fit for the office and to really emphasize the heavy load and ask if you could handle it.

Question 1
How would you respond to a parent who asked you how you could give them support if you are not a parent? What is one enrichment activity you would do with a group of kids?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Seneca Family of Agencies (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I found it to be a very comprehensive and thorough interview process and I can see why now that I work there. Seneca only hires high-quality candidates who they feel fit with the company values and are passionate about the youth and families. This is difficult, but meaningful and awesome work and they clearly want to weed out those who aren't truly called to the work.
