I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Seneca Family of Agencies in Jun 2012
Interview
I received a phone call asking me to come to a group interview at the Oakland office; there were about 6 other applicants there. Questions were asked to the group in general, and you had to take the initiative to contribute to the discussion and offer ideas. From there I was called to schedule a one to one interview with the director of the program I would potentially be working at. It was relatively informal; we met in his office and the interview style was very conversational. From there, my references were checked, which took the longest time by far. Overall it took me about 6 or 7 weeks from the initial contact to the time I was hired. Once I was hired, I started basic training the following week [which you receive pay for]

phone interview then non competitive group interview then individual interview. Individual interview seemed to be just if you are a good personality fit for the office and to really emphasize the heavy load and ask if you could handle it.

Question 1
How would you respond to a parent who asked you how you could give them support if you are not a parent? What is one enrichment activity you would do with a group of kids?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Seneca Family of Agencies (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
I found it to be a very comprehensive and thorough interview process and I can see why now that I work there. Seneca only hires high-quality candidates who they feel fit with the company values and are passionate about the youth and families. This is difficult, but meaningful and awesome work and they clearly want to weed out those who aren't truly called to the work.
