Shamrock Trading Corporation interview questions

The initial phone interview with the recruiter was incredible. He respected me, and we related. However, The two ladies in the Houston office are ridiculous, I had to prevent myself from laughing in their faces during my interview. Not many questions regarding the role, itself. I was asked how I felt about micromanaging. Yeah, I know lol. Also was asked why I left my first sales jobs back in 2018. An 100% commission only job I had 8 years ago! Who wouldn’t leave for an opportunity of a solid base pay and bonus structure? Just a foolish question, they likely do not prepare for these interviews until maybe 10 mins before you arrive for it. More questions fishing about other things not related to the interview. As an adult, I refuse to let someone belittle me. Even an employer! If this is the leaders they choose to successfully manage an office into longevity, where reps stick around, and produce for several years on. Good luck! I don’t even see how you could be successfully coached with people like this. Some managers are terrible people, but simply get away cause they hide behind the company, shouldn’t work that way. I was told they’re expanding to hire 70-80 people this year, yes this show growth. Yet, most importantly this shows that roles are constantly needing to be filled once filled. That’s not always the best of signs. Usually signals a high turnover; likely due to: the environment, treatment, management style, compensation, company structure, or lack of opportunities. Many likely come on, for a low to average base pay, stick around a few weeks-months, then realize it’s not for them. Then BOOM! Another position randomly hits the job boards. I was simply asked the micromanaging question, because they have a reputation to do so, rather told from current or previous employees. They asked that to see how far they can go with me. If you still decide to take an interview, stand firm and don’t let those ladies try and play you with the idiotic questions.
