The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sherwin-Williams (Austin, TX) in Sep 2009
Interview
The guy that interviewed me was really nice. I interviewed at a Sherwin-Williams location inside the store. There was a desk/makeshift office in the corner of the store where the interview was held. When I got there he was interviewing someone else. Meanwhile I made small talk with the employees (it is recommended that you do so). The Interviewer was from HR, he asked me really general questions. The first one was to go through my work experience (pretty much my whole resume). He asked why I wanted to work at Sherwin-Williams. Nothing too hard was asked.

Interview
I met with a couple of people at my college career fair. I later was interviewed by the sales manager. I later had a follow up with HR and was offered a position over the phone.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Sherwin-Williams
Interview
In NJ it’s a four interview process. I did one interview on the phone that went well. You do the in store which the employees were really nice. You’re sent to see the city manager. He asked vague questions and seemed like no matter how I answered him he didn’t like them. I answered the same with the other two well but he didn’t make me feel comfortable. I was told I wouldn’t be going to the last interview. The last interview is with the district city manager, and he was super nice and gave me tips to pass my third interview which didn’t help. I applied again in Michigan which was a total disaster. The district city manager was young and unprofessional. She didn’t seem prepared at all. She didn’t ask any sales questions. She cut my interview short to where I was with her for half an hour. HR didn’t bother to tell me if I got the job or not and I had to contact them. I didn’t get the job. For the store interview you’re interviewing the store manager and the questions are provided. You dress business casual. For the district city manager you dress professionally which is a suit.
