This was a very extensive interview process. First, a recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn. We had a quick phone screen, then we scheduled a time for me to do a take-home analysis exercise (SQL, Excel, logic & business intuition questions). They sent me the homework, and I had to complete it and send it back in four hours. I actually appreciated the time cap because I could have spent days on the exercise. The questions were fairly specific, which was also nice. A few days later, I was invited to an onsite interview which was scheduled for the next week. I arrived at the onsite interview and was immediately shown to a conference room, where I had a 1-hour SQL test. I am experienced with SQL, but this was really difficult. The room was too hot, I didn't have enough time, and it was very stressful. After completing this, I had a 15-minute quantitative test with SAT-style questions. I was not sure if I could use a calculator, so it was really difficult and impossible to complete in the given time. Then, I had a 1-hour case study with two analysts on the team. I was exhausted from the prior two tests, and hadn't really had a break to compose myself. The case wasn't too difficult, but the environment was stressful and the analysts were kind of rude. Next, I had another interview with a manager on the team with a shorter case (not too difficult) and behavioral questions. This interview was pleasant. Last but not least, I had another interview with another manager on the team (all behavioral). This marathon onsite interview was about 5 hours. I was told that I would hear back in a week or two, but nobody ever contacted me. They ghosted me! After all the time I put in, I would at least expect a rejection!
