Had an initial call with the executive recruiter. The call seemed to go ok but she emailed me 7 days later saying there wasn’t flexibility on the title and they were looking for someone with a culture and employee experience background as opposed to facilities. Title inflexibility is understandable for a smaller company like Skillz, but my background is literally employee experience and culture in addition to real estate and facilities. Which we discussed on our call. Not a good sign when your executive recruiter misrepresents your background and doesn’t take the time to even ask for a resume to learn more about your experience. Not to mention, she pitched the role as being more on the real estate/facilities side of things. Definitely not the way to go about recruiting executives. Otherwise the recruiter was very nice and personable just clearly lacked experience when dealing with executive level candidates.
