This interview process was definitely a weird one compared to most that I've encountered. First, I was reached out to by a recruiter from the company's HR department and soon after I scheduled a time to come in for an in-person interview. When I came into the office, I immediately realized that people are not social here. I spoke to the office manager, who was the only person with emotions that I interacted with during this interview. Afterwards, I was introduce to 2 other people that I was given no information about.
Here's a step by step of my interview:
1. Talk to office manager.
2. A new person comes in to the room and gives me a laptop and tells me to find bugs.
3. The person comes and takes the laptop after half an hour.
4. Another new person comes in to the room and gives me ANOTHER laptop and tells me to interact with an API making a request and checking response.
5. The person comes back and takes the laptop after 45 mins.
6. Talk to the office manager and leave.
Typically I enjoy interviews because I get to meet new people and learn about the companies that I apply to, but this interview experience was the total opposite. Each person I was introduced to told me nothing about their role or what they did in the company and refused to interact with me socially. I'm unsure about how well this interview process works, but this is a relatively large company and I guess they like it that way.
