I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Denver, CO) in Nov 2018
Interview
SkyWest will put you in a hotel the night before the interview. The next morning you will catch the hotel shuttle to the Flight Center. Plan on being there from 0730 to around 1600. They start with a presentation that explains how awesome the company is and answer any questions you have. First, myself and two other were put into an all paper flight deck for the scenario situation. Second, I did the HR and last was the technical questions. We ate Jimmy Johns for lunch around noon.
There are a few gouges out there but what helped me was a book call Everything Explained for a Professional Pilot and studying Jeppesen charts. During the HR, typical questions were asked such as: Why SkyWest? Tell me about a time you went out of the way to help a customer? Describe what it is to be an affective Captain? Etc. During the technical they asked me how a turbine engine works, basic jeppensen chart knowledge, what is AC/DC and disadvantages and advantages between the two. They also asked me about the systems of the most recent aircraft I flew. These are just a handful of questions they asked but for the most part I felt like they just wanted to get to know me and see if they’d be able to handle me on a three or four day trip. It was a great experience.

Interview
Interview was about 2.5 hours. Very straightforward if you use airline interviews. Very friendly as well. If you don’t know the answer just admit it or ask them to rephrase.
I interviewed at SkyWest Airlines (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
The interview is normally a two hour technical interview that details everything sent in a prior email. HR questions may or may not be a few simple questions about demographic.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review about the first officer interview process with SkyWest Airlines. We are happy to hear that you had a positive experience. Welcome to SkyWest Airlines!
Interview was 1 hour 45 min. I recommend studying before the interview as it was fairly technical for systems questions. Study Jepp charts to include airport diagram, SIDS, STARS. We also dove into weather quite a bit.
