SkyWest Airlines interview questions

Cattle call. Open event in Sacramento in which approximately 100 people attended. They spent the first couple of hours telling us how wonderful it is to work for Skywest, going into detail on uniforms, benefits and travel advantages. After a short break, each person was asked to stand up in front of the room and explain why they would make a good flight attendant. This process took another 2 hours! After another break, they posted a list of only 9 people who actually got an interview. Waste of time -

You apply online and then look on the same site for open interviews to go to . Once you arrive at the interview of your choosing they have you sign in ask you if you applied online( make sure you do) and measure your height without shoes MAKE SURE YOU ARE EARLY! they will not take anyone late and of course arriving early makes you stand out. They then have you wait until they tell you to go into a room. In this room they read off a paper about skywest airlines telling all about the company and the requirements for the job. They then ask if you have any questions. I hate to say this but I would refrain from the stupid questions I am very sure some did not get chosen because of the questions they asked ie things like time off. Next they say this may not be for everyone and that if its not for you to not return after the break but if it is for you then to return after 15 minutes and after you will have the chance to speak 60 seconds or less on why you would make a great flight attendant. Once we returned from the break they told us about the 60 seconds or less and to speak about your qualifications and experience and qualities and not about family. During this time a candidate walked in late she was allowed to continue through the 60 seconds but was not selected Im sure its because she was late DO NOT BE LATE . After the 60 seconds or less on why you would make a great flight attendant they give you a 45 minute break after which they posted the names on the door on the people invited to the one on one. Those that were not can try again in 90 days. I was chosen for the one on one. They next put us into a room where we filled out a form with our preferred domicile and our personal info, then we are called out 1 by 1 for the one on one interviews. The lady was super nice. She asked me situational questions of which I had already found on here so I was prepared !!! look and prepare after which we said thank you and good bye! I knew i did well, so much so i went jumping in the parking lot and sure enough 7 days later after the date of the interview i received an email inviting me to the training class!!!
