      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Slalom (Austin, TX) in May 2018

      Interview

I had applied online for the Product Management position and met with recruiter over coffee. The recruiter was extremely nice and had a great conversation about the company, history and my role. A day later I got an email basically saying that they felt I didn't demonstrate in the interview why Slalom was of interest and a long term home. They also said they walked away with not a clear understanding of why the opportunity was an interest to me outside my current situation at work. Basically, I didn't show enough enthusiasm. The interviewer didn't not ask any technical questions about their current role they were interviewing for and what my accomplishments were, how I achieved them, what my role was and any obstacles I had to overcome on any other projects. Being a co-founder of a company in the past with nearly 50 employees and managing an enterprise platform for several fortune 500 companies, I have a wealth of experience and passion for what I do. Hiring many people myself, I want to know what a person's strength's and weaknesses are, what they have accomplished, what their role was and also obstacles they encountered and how they overcame them. My advice to anyone applying, just be super enthusiastic and excited about working there and why you want to work there so much. I'll add one more thing, I don't think the right questions were asked. I think the job of HR or a talent acquisition manager should be to vet the candidates qualifications to make sure they fit the role. I think it's up to the hiring manager to determine culture fit and make the final decision. Nothing bad to say, but thought the process and questions could have been better. I do appreciate the opportunity.

      Interview

There were 4 rounds of meeting with a series of individuals. The meeting and purpose lacked direction and seemed mostly exploratory in nature. Decided to discontinue engagement after a request for another presentation. No clear objective.
