Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Walk through resume
Experience difficult customers
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Bellevue, WA) in Sep 2023
Interview
First I met with a recruiter, followed by the hiring manager, followed by two interviews with a Director and a fellow customer success manager, followed by a one hour presentation. After doing some research prior to the presentation process, my gut told me this is not a good company to work for. A lot of people get to the presentation portion and do not get a job offer. This happened to me. They expressed their excitement prior to the presentation and afterwords complimented me on how thorough and detailed it was. Through my questions for them, it sounds like they are really struggling with customers renewing and wanting only a short term contract. It seems to me Smartsheet is looking for other people to give them answers and are not actually looking to hire. Be warned, this company has a lot of red flags. I probably wasted anywhere from 20 to 25 hours during this whole process, with most being spent working on the presentation. I’m a bit relieved as this is not a company I would want to work for. I just hate that my time was wasted.

Question 1
It was an interesting interview process where there were no behavioral questions. Again, this makes me believe that there was no intention to hire.
I applied online. I interviewed at Smartsheet (Phoenix, AZ) in Apr 2022
Interview
I made it very clear in my interview that from 20+ years experience as a Custom Success Manager that I work strategically and would learn the technology. After being hired, I was informed that I would need to become a SME and take and pass job Certifications within two weeks.
