This was a very lengthy, multi-step interview process.
10 minute call with recruiter>30 minute Zoom with Hiring Manager>3 consecutive 30-minute calls with a CSM, CSM Manager, and Sales Manager> Build solution*> 60-minute presentation.
*The recruiter provides a case study which you need to use to build a solution in the platform and a presentation. There are very specific branding guidelines to follow when building this solution. I probably spent over 10 or so hours researching the product and putting together the PowerPoint deck.
During the presentation, I received overwhelmingly positive feedback except for two very minor misses (one which I corrected before the end of the presentation).
Despite all of the positive feedback, I was rejected due to my "skills and experience". My experience got me the interview and my skills were never questioned throughout the entire process.
I've no problem losing out to a candidate that's simply a better fit, or if I interviewed/presented poorly, but this was never the case.
I learned a lot from this process. In the end, the reasoning for my not being chosen was disappointing.
