I went for an interview last week and I was very surprised. The interviewers were very nice and made you feel comfortable. PLEASE HAVE ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS in order. That's the very first thing that they will collect. On your reference sheet make sure that your contacts have all been direct supervisors. Co-workers as professional references aren't acceptable. My interview was at 10 am and I was out by 1. Overall it was a good interview. I was asked to submit finger prints and they have already began my backround check. Hoping for a call back soon!

The interview began with writing a series of answers to open ended questions (i.e what are your goals, why do you want to work for SSA, which skills do you think will be most important)
The questionnaire was then followed by a two person panel interview. Many of the questions were STAR based and based on your experience in providing customer service.
My overall experience was positive. I felt the interview was very straight forward.

Applied on USAjobs.gov website, completed online assessment, 4 months later I was called for the “Meet and Deal” panel interview the following day, 1 week later my references were checked, and I received an offer the following week.
