I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Nov 2015
Interview
Applied for a CSA position with Southwest October 14 2015 and got an email the following week from a recruiter that they was trying to reach me via phone and to contact them for a phone interview also to please finish filling out my application with my 10 year work history and resident! Called back left a voice mail and got a call back the next day and was given a phone interview on the spot! Phone interview was simple! They asked Why Southwest?, Do you know the duties for the position you applied for? They went over the pay for the position, possible hours you would work and mandatory overtime! Also went over your work history and asked questions why you are not working for that company anymore! Phone interview was 20-30 mins long. I was told after my phone interview they will be contacting me if I was selected for F2F in few days!
5 days later got a phone call that they been trying to reach me to set up a F2F and if I was still interested? They scheduled my F2F interview the next day! They will ask to bring a copy of your ID and diploma! I was also asked to print out a consent they sent me for a background check and bring it with me to the interview sign.
The interview went well! One of the best I ever had! They are really looking for personality! So relax, smile and have fun when answering the questions they ask you! Be prepared to be interview by a group of Southwest employee! I had 5 of them sitting across from me asking me questions! I have to say they was very nice people and made me feel comfortable when I was answering my questions! It felt more like a conversation than an interview!
I was told they would call me if I was picked for the position within a week and that they had others to interview! A few hours later I got a call saying that they really LUV me and want to offer me the position and welcome to Southwest! They wanted to make sure I did not leave anything out in my application regarding my 10 year work experience that would pop up during background check! So make sure you put all your work history even if it's a 1 day job or seasonal! They will find out and will consider you not truthful and this can delay your process or they can decide to pick someone else!
I got drug tested and fingerprints and got clear from my background. I am waiting on a start date and will be attending a 2 week training in TX in January.
This process took 6 weeks so be patient! I know of others that the process was faster and others that the process took 6 months!
Good luck! Hope this information is helpful! Everyone experience will be different but this was mine. Remember to have fun during your F2F interview!

Interview
The interview was a very casual meet and greet. Several HR employees were sitting at different tables casually asking questions to potential candidates. If the HR Rep was interested, he had you speak to another one of his colleagues. From that point, if they both gave you the thumbs up, you were drug tested and finger-printed on the spot. A job offer came within ten days of that first and only interview.

Interview
Behavioral interview questions, know things about the company, have questions for the interviewer, smile smile smile. Have knowledge of the position expectations and qualifications. I would recommend STAR method answers and just be prepared and be yourself.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Denver, CO) in Jun 2023
Interview
I had attended a hiring event and it was great, Southwest seems to be a great company. It took hours though, so if you plan on attending a hiring event held by Southwest, I'd plan a good 5 hours to be there. Show up dressed good, prepared for an interview. Take your resume.
