      Customer Service Representative Interview

      Feb 1, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Antonio, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2016

      Interview

After the online application I received a phone invite several weeks later. During the phone interview they pay was explained and you are asked if you agree to the pay. I was invited to a face to face a month out.I had to bring copies of transcripts and the online application I just went over with the phone interview. I think they should just pull this up on the computer instead of more paper. I had to bring copies of my ID and social. I wore nice pants , dressy shirt and a jacket although the environment is casual I'd say not for the interviewees. Email info gives you a time to arrive but says you will be seen in order of arrival and it could take 2-4 hours. I arrived early. Everyone was friendly and you take a selfie with some items. They show you around the call center and you wait in the hospitality room and learn about SWA. The interviews were for the Feb and Mar training classes. Nice casual environment casual dress. We were told 10k people applied for these positions and we were the ones that I got interview. 4 weeks paid training in Dallas they prefer that you do not leave on the weekends from Dallas ( that was not a problem for me but I guess some were making some faces ). During the interview I was interviewed by two people the second one I assumed was a manager based on he amount of years in SWA. SHE NEVER Smiled or spoke. The one interviewing rarely smiled. After the interview they told me to read through some info as they had to input information into the computer. Came back in said I'd hear something in 2-4 weeks! Seriously ? I felt like as I was escorted to the door it was a " don't let the door kick you in the way out". The next week I got a rejection. So I didn't get to the drug/ background check which I would have passed. Not happy to be rejected but glad it didn't take a month as I did have more options. This process was very very long about 2 months just to get the application until the interview and when I applied there were training classes being from Jan- Mar. If it would have taken as long as I was told to get my decision it would have been 3 months !

      Interview

I interviewed once with the recruiter and then with a local representative. The interview questions were your typical STAR type questions. The interview was informative and conversational. They went over the important parts of the position and what a day would look like if hired.
