Specialty Coating Systems Customer Service Representative interview questions

The interview process consisted of an introductory call with an HR representative at Corporate followed by an invitation to interview in person at the Austin office with both on-site staff and a hiring manager from corporate. This required 2+hours of travel as I would be moving for this opportunity so it was frustrating that a virtual interview was not first suggested. The in-person interview was 2 hours long and included speaking with two separate groups of employees and management as well as a tour of the facility. The 1st portion of the interview was encouraging and conversational, whereas the 2nd portion was discouraging and demoralizing. The manner in which several of the on-site team members presented/phrased some of their questions referencing my experience and career path came across both condescending and demeaning. Having an candidate leave an interview feeling figuratively "beat up" is no way to entice an applicant to join a team. If this is a reflection of the culture at SCS, I cant imagine a candidate wishing to be a part of it, as maintaining a healthy & positive work environment is of the upmost importance to most individuals, along with having a place to grow professionally.
