I did not even get a recruiter call, but rather an automated email from them with a link to schedule my take-home test. It felt very... odd, jumping me straight to a take-home without an initial behavioral call to see if both me and them were a fit.
I ended up scheduling it and when the time came, it felt like they did not trust any candidates, where you were going to be recorded via webcam, microphone, and screen. Sure it could be due to them not wanting anybody using AI to help them, but that added so much more stress and anxiety (to me at least). It would have been nice to have that disclaimer as well.
Reading through what was being asked seemed rather very difficult, although it is most likely what would be done on the job day-to-day. This is cool to see for sure, but I would have definitely liked them to give some resources for candidates to either learn or brush up on prior to the assessment, as I believe, they wanted candidates to look up documentation and learn about it, but again, the assessment is 90 minutes, which added on to the stress and anxiety.
It just feels like a lazy interview to me where they did not care for you, but want you to care about them.
