I applied back in July and I was invited to attend the recruitment tour. There were a few places to choose from (Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Ft. Lauderdale). I arrived at the hotel at what I thought was early. Check in time was 7:00, I got there around 6:45. I was directed to where I needed to go by associates of Spirit. The check-in line was pretty long, already. I felt bad for anyone arriving after that. The guy in front of me didn't get to get in because he didn't have some of his documentation. BRING EVERYTHING WITH YOU! At check-in they will take your resume, check your ID and your passport. Make sure you have them. You are given a badge with your name on it, a color and a number. DON'T FORGET YOUR NUMBER! Everyone goes into one big room. During this time, KEEP TALKING! YOU ARE BEING WATCHED! The more friendly you are, the better chances you have. You want to be sure that you appear to be someone who is sociable. We got a presentation on the company. The presentation did have some cursing in it. I thought it was a little over the top but funny nonetheless. We were introduced to the team members and at that time you had the opportunity to leave if you didn't want to stay. After that, you are separated into groups based on your color. Once you get there, you are to pick a card out of the bowl. You introduce yourself with your name, your number and you answer the question(s) on the card. They come back and make cuts. IF YOU ARE CALLED, YOU ARE CUT! I believe that this point, people were cut based on they way the dressed and how they spoke. After that, you are separated into smaller groups. And you're given a poster board and you have to come up with an airline. You have about 15 minutes to do so. YOU ARE BEING WATCHED! PARTICIPATE! PARTICIPATE! PARTICIPATE! I was in a group of 5, 3 guy and 2 girls. Me and another guy took the initiative of the group. The other guy threw out ideas constantly. the ladies would throw out ideas every now and then but they were very passive. Once you're done, you and your group present your airline. PARTICIPATE IN THE PRESENTATION! Once everyone presents, they make cuts. IF YOU ARE CALLED, YOU ARE CUT! Next, there is a lunch break. Once you come back from you lunch break, you are placed in the initial hall that you started with every candidate. You have to demonstrate that you are able to lift a 50 pound suitcase over your head. You have to sign a waiver that says Spirit is not responsible for anything that may happen to you while lifting. You are called up by group of about 10 people, given your resume, and you sit outside of a room until you are called to do your 2 on 1 interview. There are about 4 or 5 interviews going on at the same time. My interview was pretty easy. both of my interviewers were very pleasant. They asked me about my resume, created some hypothetical situations, and asked me to sale them something off of Spirits menu. Once you're finished, you go to a holding room. There are other people there, waiting for a decision as well. They call you out in groups and let you know if you will be extended an offer or not. If you are, you go to another room for processing. You take your picture for your badge, you're finger-printed, you fill out a form for your background check, and you are drug tested. You fill out this LONG packet. It takes about 30 minutes to fully complete it. You are given a check list and a date and time that you must have it turned back in. Hopefully this helped. I checked glassdoor everyday to see if something new had come up.
