I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Splunk (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me. We had an initial conversation regarding the role and my sales experience (15+ years in tech) -- followed by a scheduled Zoom interview with the hiring manager. The process took about 7 days.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
No specific questions from Hiring Manager. Interview 1:1 was held over Zoom. He looked more like a captive in hostage tape than Corporate sales (Clearly did not know how to set up Zoom call) . Manager appeared to have already made a decision on his hire and was just ticking a box to complete his "interviews". A complete wate of time for me -- and a bit insulting. I would engage with Splunk again.
Never heard back from anyone about next steps after our first interview. And rescheduled my interview multiple times along with changing up the interviewees. They said they would get back to you regardless but never heard anything.

Normal interview questions that were very commonly heard
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Splunk in Sep 2016
Interview
Applied via their website. Got email confirmation that my application received.
Got email from recruiter asking which company I was from (it is on CV), gave all details but got the impression that he wanted to get rid of me because he used to work for the same company few years later and probably had bad experience there.
Asked if we can have a call to discuss the position in detail, few days later received email that I did not pass.
No reason given even after asking.
Extremely negative experience.
The recruiter should not base their opinion on their own negative experience.
