I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Spotify in Jan 2019
Interview
First it was a recruiter phone call which lasted approximately 30 mins. Then a week later, a video interview was setup with two developers from Spotify. It lasted a bit over one hour.
Overall I liked the process. Everything, right from the recruiter’s call till the video interview were handled very well and all of them were very friendly. Video interview was more of a collaborative problem solving. Engineers who interviewed me know the stuff and very engaging. I was rejected but the feedback I received from the engineers were constructive and would help me prepare myself better.
The interview process was long. I had a positive interview with HR. But the next stage was coding round with 2 senior engineers interview was tough need to good practice before going to the interview.

Interview
Received an offer for an interview with a recruiter around early March, it was 20 minutes and the recruiter was very sweet! I was asked about my background, she asked me to elaborate on specific experiences on my resume, challenges I encountered, what technical frameworks I used, the standard questions. It was very straightforward and I received the offer later that day for the final round interview consisting of a 45 min behavorial interview and a 45 min technical interview.
